1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HandoffPro ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

HandoffPro is operated by Hunter Research AS, a Norwegian company registered in Oslo, Norway.

2. Service Description

HandoffPro is an AI-powered design analysis platform that converts UI screenshots into structured JSONC briefs, design tokens, and implementation prompts. The Service uses AI services to analyze your uploaded designs and generate structured output.

We offer two subscription tiers: a Free tier with limited analyses and ad support, and a Pro tier with unlimited analyses and no advertisements.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You may use the Service anonymously or register using email and password or third-party authentication providers (Google, GitHub).

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Responsibilities

When using HandoffPro, you agree to:

• Upload only content you have the right to use and share
• Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not upload designs containing malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Not abuse or attempt to exploit the Service or its AI systems
• Not use the Service to violate the intellectual property rights of others

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the designs and screenshots you upload to HandoffPro. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process your designs using AI services solely for the purpose of generating analysis output.

Our Service: HandoffPro, including its software, design, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Hunter Research AS and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

Generated Output: The JSONC briefs, design tokens, and implementation prompts generated by the Service are provided to you for your use. You may use this output for any purpose, including commercial projects.

6. Payment Terms

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or yearly basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

7. AI Analysis Disclaimers

HandoffPro uses AI services to analyze designs and generate structured output. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results are suggestions and may contain errors or inaccuracies.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI analysis results are not guaranteed to be complete or accurate
• You are responsible for reviewing and validating all generated output
• We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated suggestions
• AI models may evolve over time, potentially changing output format or quality

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hunter Research AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Oslo, Norway.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

12. Data Protection Authority

As a Norwegian company, we are supervised by Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority). If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
